Students will EXPLORE by traveling locally, nationally, and internationally. Students will DISCOVER by experiencing first hand the challenges and achievements of missionaries past and present. Students will INSPIRE the carnal and the lost to pursue new territory in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ by developing a powerful character of prayerful living.

SPRING 2009 M.A.P.S. OPPORTUNITY DETAILS:

One, 14 week session*

JANUARY 17TH TO April 30TH 2008.

Spring Break is March 9-13. Where we offer an optional retreat.

*At the conclusion of the fourteenth week, students have the opportunity to go on our optional overseas mission.

Schedule:

Monday – Thursday

7:30 - 8:00 Breakfast

8:00 – 9:00 Chapel

9:00 – 10:00 Class

10:00 – 1:00 Outreach

Afternoons and Evenings are free for homework, internships, part-time jobs, socializing, or taking additional classes at a local university.

Friday – Sunday is typically off with exceptions and flexibility when we go on trips.

Tuition:

$100/week. $1400 a semester.

INCLUDES Housing in San Diego, Classes, Breakfast each day, and Trips to

Four U.S.CITIES, and TIJUANA, MEXICO.

My life from age 13 till 20’s:

Consisted of depression, finding my self-worth and identity in relationships, suicidal thoughts, abominable/sinful acts, being a hypocrite, feeding my insecurities, being a slave to fear, needing to have control, choosing sin over God, betraying God, disobeying Him, leading others astray.

Praise God! My life has also consisted of learning about God and who He is and the Bible, choosing to accept Him into my life as my Lord and Savior (Salvation), experiencing Him, being protected by him, seeing miracles done by Him, being blessed by Him, being rescued by Him and being transformed and healed by Him.

What sticks out in mind through out this journey, that has brought me where I am now, has been: surrender of all at all times, trusting in God and His promises, letting go of my desires and seeking His Will, humility, cleansing, forgiveness from God and forgiving myself, obedience to God and of course His grace.

In this present time I am still growing into a more intimate relationship with God, desiring to understand Him better, seeking to learn His Word more accurately, surrendering my thoughts, feelings, and desires to Him consistently, repenting of my sinful nature, praying to have a greater faith and complete trust in Him, seeking to be healed of my fear of loved ones dying, my anger and impatience that I struggle with, and asking God to prepare me, equip me and transform me into the woman He wants me to be in all circumstances (public speaking), and in all relationships (as a wife, sister, daughter, friend, employee).
